Lacing activities help children develop fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, motor planning and visual perceptual skills, wrist ability, observation, visual discrimination, creativity, eye hand coordination and concentration. In addition, lacing helps children practice the precursor skills for shoe tying and sewing.
