Wireless Power Transfer is a collective term that refers to an number of different technologies for transmitting energy by means of electromagnetics fields. In this technique, power is typically transferred by magnetic fields using magnetic inductive coupling between coils of wire. Applications of this type include electric toothbrush chargers, RFID tags, smartcards, and chargers for implantable medical devices like artificial cardiac pacemakers. The concept of wireless power transfer was realised by Nikolas Tesla. Wireless power transfer can make remarkable change in the field of the electrical engineering which eliminates the use conventional copper cable and current carrying wires.
